What kind of resolution I will get by using SLP mode for 6 hours recording ?
Will it still be better than VHS ?

So you can understand......with VHS I will get a "graini" effect with lower speeds, but I don't want to have a "blocking" or "smear" effect either with DVD.......

I haven't recorded a DVD on SLP but I imagine it would be better than VHS. What's your source material?

it completely depends on the source material.
but for the sake of explination well say ur going from dvd to dvd-r. in SLP mode you will have significant degredation, but it will still look better than the best quality vhs (barring DVHS).
